Group and Centre-Based Activities

Group and Centre-Based Activities – Essential Supported Living (NDIS-Aligned)

At Essential Supported Living, our Group and Centre-Based Activities are designed to empower NDIS participants by fostering inclusion, enhancing social skills, and promoting personal development in a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment.

Our centre provides structured yet flexible programs where participants can engage in meaningful activities that support their individual NDIS goals. These sessions are facilitated by qualified support staff trained to accommodate varying levels of ability and personal preference.

Bingo

A fun, interactive game that promotes cognitive engagement, number recognition, and social interaction. Participants enjoy the excitement of friendly competition while building concentration and memory.

These sessions offer creative expression through painting, drawing, collage, and craft-making. Activities are tailored to individual abilities and help enhance fine motor skills, self-expression, and sensory exploration.

Enjoying age-appropriate films and shows in a group setting fosters relaxation and conversation. Participants can develop social connections through shared experiences and discussions after the screening.

These literacy-based sessions include reading aloud, storytelling, and interactive book discussions. They help improve comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence in verbal communication, while encouraging imagination and cultural appreciation.

Key Features of Our Centre-Based Activities

Social Engagement:
Participants are encouraged to connect with peers, build friendships, and develop interpersonal skills through collaborative activities. These sessions help reduce isolation, improve communication abilities, and enhance emotional wellbeing.

Skill Development:
Each activity is designed to help participants build or maintain daily living and social skills, aligned with their NDIS goals. This includes fine motor skills, cognitive stimulation, communication, decision-making, and independence.

Inclusive and Person-Centred:
Activities are adapted to meet the needs and interests of each participant, ensuring everyone feels included and engaged. We welcome input from participants and their carers in designing programs that reflect personal goals and cultural backgrounds.

Our service delivery complies with the NDIS Practice Standards, ensuring quality, safety, and participant-centred outcomes. All activities are facilitated in accordance with participants’ support plans and risk assessments, and we maintain ongoing communication with families, carers, and support coordinators to ensure transparency and effectiveness.
