At Essential Supported Living, we are committed to empowering our participants to live as independently and confidently as possible. Our Development of Daily Living and Life Skills program is tailored to meet the individual needs, goals, and preferences of each person. Through hands-on training, consistent support, and real-world experiences, we equip participants with essential life skills that promote autonomy, confidence, and a higher quality of life.

Social engagement is vital to emotional well-being and inclusion. We support participants in:

  • Developing friendships and positive social networks

Participants are guided through routines and practices that promote a safe, organized, and healthy living environment, including:

  • Cleaning and decluttering techniques

  • Basic home maintenance and organization

Good hygiene is essential for health and self-esteem. We assist participants with:

We teach foundational money management skills to help participants achieve financial independence. This includes:

  • Creating and following a budget
  • Understanding income and expenses
  • Using banks and ATMs
  • Making informed decisions about purchases
  • Saving for short- and long-term goals

Nutrition and meal preparation are key to self-sufficiency. We support participants in:

  • Planning balanced, cost-effective meals
  • Grocery shopping and understanding food labels
  • Cooking skills tailored to dietary needs and preferences
  • Food safety and proper storage practices

Our approach is person-centered, respectful, and goal-oriented. We work closely with participants, families, and support coordinators to ensure every individual has the opportunity to develop the skills they need to thrive in everyday life.
